savechinatownheritage.org/take-action/The issue of gentrification in Chinatown is a hot topic, so it is fitting that the Chinese title of our film 熱土 literally means “hot earth,” which holds a double meaning of ‘love for the homeland’ and ‘hot piece of real estate.’
