For the first event of the fall, #SaveChinatownYVR is partnering with Candie Tanaka for Bao & Brew: Poetry in the Plaza. The event will feature poetry, music, and an open-mic, with free buns and tea provided. If you’re already signed up for a Cross-Cultural Walking Tour as part of this year’s Fire Dragon Festival, this is a great way to spend the rest of your afternoon.
When: Sunday, September 24 from 1:00 to 3:00pm
Where: Chinatown Memorial Plaza next to 105 Keefer
Cost: Free!
All supplies and refreshments will be provided, please bring your own chair if you can as priority will go to seniors and those with accessibility needs. This event is open to all ages!
Things to bring:
- A sweater to stay warm
- Water to stay hydrated
- A chair if you want a guaranteed seat (Seating will be limited and prioritized for seniors and those who need it)
